Frederick M. “Fred” Eames, Jr.

Fred­er­ick M. “Fred” Eames, Jr., 90, Sun­bury, died Wednes­day evening, May 16, 2012, at the Vil­lage of Westerville.

He was born on Jan­u­ary 28, 1922, in Albany, New York to the late Fred M. and Emma W. Eames, grew up in Albany and lived in Sun­bury for the last 23 years com­ing from Plano, Texas. A World War II Army Air Corp Vet­eran, grad­u­ate of Iowa State Uni­ver­sity and an elec­tri­cal engi­neer, he worked in tele­vi­sion and radio for 50 years.

Fred enjoyed wood­work­ing, with his spe­cialty being cab­i­nets, and he also enjoyed read­ing, yard work and car­ry­ing on the geneal­ogy work of his father.

Sur­vived by his son: J. Mar­shall (Ange­les) Eames, Chicago; his daugh­ter: Leslie (David) Wol­ford, Sun­bury; six grand­chil­dren: Jen­nifer (Collin) W. Dun­ham, Jes­sica (Aaron) W. Hein­rich, Jaclyn C. Wol­ford, and by Luisa A., Bri­ana E. and Anthony M. Eames.

He was pre­ceded by his wife of 52 years, Betty Ade­laide (Kloth) Eames, on July 28, 2001; and by his brother: Milo W. Eames.

Memo­r­ial ser­vices and inurn­ment will take place at a later date.
