Frederick M. “Fred” Eames, Jr.
Frederick M. “Fred” Eames, Jr., 90, Sunbury, died Wednesday evening, May 16, 2012, at the Village of Westerville.
He was born on January 28, 1922, in Albany, New York to the late Fred M. and Emma W. Eames, grew up in Albany and lived in Sunbury for the last 23 years coming from Plano, Texas. A World War II Army Air Corp Veteran, graduate of Iowa State University and an electrical engineer, he worked in television and radio for 50 years.
Fred enjoyed woodworking, with his specialty being cabinets, and he also enjoyed reading, yard work and carrying on the genealogy work of his father.
Survived by his son: J. Marshall (Angeles) Eames, Chicago; his daughter: Leslie (David) Wolford, Sunbury; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Collin) W. Dunham, Jessica (Aaron) W. Heinrich, Jaclyn C. Wolford, and by Luisa A., Briana E. and Anthony M. Eames.
He was preceded by his wife of 52 years, Betty Adelaide (Kloth) Eames, on July 28, 2001; and by his brother: Milo W. Eames.
Memorial services and inurnment will take place at a later date.
