Genoa’s National Night Out on August 7

The Genoa Town­ship Police and Fire Depart­ments invite all town­ship res­i­dents to attend the Tues­day, August 7, National Night Out activ­i­ties at McNa­mara Park.

National Night Out is a pro­gram designed to strengthen the community/police part­ner­ship, heighten crime aware­ness and gen­er­ate sup­port for Neigh­bor­hood Watch programs.

Genoa Township’s National Night Out pro­gram includes safety ser­vice exhibits, games for chil­dren, live music, demon­stra­tions, food, child IDs and more.

All Genoa Town­ship National Night Out activ­i­ties will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McNa­mara Park located behind the Fire and Police sta­tions at 7049 Big Wal­nut Road.

Addi­tional Genoa Town­ship com­mu­nity activ­i­ties for the month of August include Movie Night & Bring-Your-Own Pic­nic at 7:30 p.m., Sat­ur­day, August 11, at McNa­mara Park. The movie begins at dusk.

At 6 p.m., Tues­day, August 14, there will be a Can­ning & Freez­ing Clinic at the Genoa Town­ship Hall, 5111 South Old 3C High­way, Westerville.

This year’s Get Behind the Badge Cruise-in will be held from 12 noon until 4 p.m. at Quaker Steak Polaris (Reg­is­tra­tion 9 a.m. to 12 noon).

The next Genoa Town­ship Board of Trustees meet­ing will be held at 6 p.m., Thurs­day, August 2, at the Genoa Town­ship Hall.

The Genoa Town­ship Cit­i­zens Police Advi­sory Board meet­ing sched­uled for 7 p.m. Wednes­day, August 22, in the Genoa Town­ship Fire Depart­ment Train­ing Room, 7049 Big Wal­nut Road, Galena, has been changed to Tues­day, August 21 at the same loca­tion and time.

The Genoa Town­ship Admin­is­tra­tive Offices are located at the Genoa Town­ship Hall, 5111 South Old 3C High­way, West­er­ville, and are reg­u­larly open to the pub­lic Mon­day through Fri­day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
