Mildred Baker Burrell 101, Delaware, died Friday, August 24, in the Sarah Moore Home. She was born May 31, 1911, in Leonardsburg to Joseph and Ada (Cosgray) Baker. She graduated from Ashley High School and attended Bliss Business Collage. She was the previous owner of Burrell Insurance Co. and later became a part time student at Ohio Wesleyan University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Cosmopolitan Club, George Lewis Behrens O.E.S., bridge clubs, Gypsy Club of Columbus and was a former secretary of the Delaware County Insurance Association.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Katherine Forsythe of Delaware; a grandson, Peter Wilson of New Jersey; three great-grandchildren, Kyra, Coryn and Jason Wilson; a niece, Margaret Baker Miller of Grandview; and three nephews, Donal Baker of Florida, Dale and Vincent of Columbus; and by a dear friend Patti Smith of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1965 and a brother, Harold Baker.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 26, at the Robinson Funeral Home where funeral services were held Monday, August 27, with The Reverend Deborah Patterson officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
