Red Cross is looking for local heroes
The 10th Annual Heroes Breakfast event will take place on Wednesday, November 14, at 8:30 a.m. to benefit your local American Red Cross. Breakfast and program will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Center for Older Adults, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware.
We are pleased to announce that Bill Kelly, Chief Meteorologist ABC6/Fox28 will be our guest speaker. Bill has a true passion for the weather and this year truly has been a “HOT” topic. We hope you will join us to hear how the weather plays an important role in the American Red Cross.
Each year, the Heroes Breakfast is the premiere event when the American Red Cross honors community members who have demonstrated heroism through extraordinary acts of courage and kindness. We also recognize students in grades K-12 who submit entries in our Student Writing Contest in which they share stories of heroes in their lives.
The entry deadline is Monday, October 15, so please take a few minutes to submit a nomination for someone you know who deserves to receive the honor of being named a Hero. Visit us at < www.delco-redcross.org > for Hero Nomination Forms along with the Student Writing Contest criteria.
Please submit nominations to Attn: Heroes Committee — American Red Cross of Delaware County, 380 Hills–
Miller Road, Delaware 43015 or via email to < heroes@delco-redcross.org >. You can also fax your entries to 740–363-5871.
This event made possible by the generous support of our sponsors: Grady Memorial-Ohio Health, Center for Older Adults, Delaware Area Career Center, Nationwide, Richwood Bank, College Nannies & Tutors and Jim Roesch of Creative Financial Insurance.
