Iva Faye “Ivy” Shaw

Iva Faye “Ivy” Shaw, 71, Sun­bury, passed away Sun­day, Octo­ber 7, 2012, at St. Ann’s Hos­pi­tal. She was born July 8, 1941, in Dover, to the late Willis A. and Lena (Kilchen­mann) Fisher.

Iva was a mem­ber at Con­dit Pres­by­ter­ian Church. She retired from what is now Met­tler Toledo as a Cor­po­rate Buyer. She enjoyed play­ing cards and domi­noes. Ivy had a green thumb and could often be found in the gar­den where flow­ers were every­where. Iva was an OSU Buck­eyes foot­ball and bas­ket­ball fan. Her grand­chil­dren were her life and she would drop every­thing to spend time with them.

In addi­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by her son Jef­frey and her broth­ers Robert and Leroy Fisher.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Tim­o­thy G. (Paula) Shaw of Wil­low Wood and Brenda (Kelsey) Leisure of Sun­bury; grand­chil­dren, Krista, Travis and Jacque­line; step grand­chil­dren, Kirsten and Kourt­ney and their chil­dren; broth­ers, Richard (Phyl­lis) Fisher and Dean (Cheryl) Fisher, all of Dover; and sis­ter, Arlene (Jim) Sigrist of Sugarcreek.

The fam­ily received friends Wednes­day, Octo­ber 10, at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sun­bury, where funeral ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m. today (Thurs­day, Octo­ber 11) with Pas­tor John Zuercher officiating.

Inter­ment will fol­low in Tren­ton Cemetery.
