Iva Faye “Ivy” Shaw
Iva Faye “Ivy” Shaw, 71, Sunbury, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, at St. Ann’s Hospital. She was born July 8, 1941, in Dover, to the late Willis A. and Lena (Kilchenmann) Fisher.
Iva was a member at Condit Presbyterian Church. She retired from what is now Mettler Toledo as a Corporate Buyer. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Ivy had a green thumb and could often be found in the garden where flowers were everywhere. Iva was an OSU Buckeyes football and basketball fan. Her grandchildren were her life and she would drop everything to spend time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey and her brothers Robert and Leroy Fisher.
She is survived by her children, Timothy G. (Paula) Shaw of Willow Wood and Brenda (Kelsey) Leisure of Sunbury; grandchildren, Krista, Travis and Jacqueline; step grandchildren, Kirsten and Kourtney and their children; brothers, Richard (Phyllis) Fisher and Dean (Cheryl) Fisher, all of Dover; and sister, Arlene (Jim) Sigrist of Sugarcreek.
The family received friends Wednesday, October 10, at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, October 11) with Pastor John Zuercher officiating.
Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery.
