Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber Candidates’ Night tonight
The Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Eastern Delaware County Republican Club and the Delaware County Democratic Party, is pleased to sponsor “Meet the Candidates” night in Sunbury. The public is invited and encouraged to attend to learn about the candidates for office and the issues that will be on the November 6 ballot.
This event will be today (Thursday, October 25) beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Big Walnut High School cafeteria.
The night will follow a format whereby all candidates in contested races as well as speakers for or against issues will be given three minutes (closely timed) to tell about themselves, their goals and objectives. Candidates in uncontested races will be introduced, and hopefully, will be available for one-on-one discussions after the formal meeting.
Literature will be available providing information about the candidates and issues. Light refreshments will be served following the speakers. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
In addition, the Chamber will host a Membership & Candidates’ Breakfast on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 a.m. at Northstar Golf Club in Sunbury for members and guests. The forum for this event will duplicate that of Candidates’ Night, however, reservations are required for the breakfast event.
