Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber hosts Candidates’ Night on Thursday, October 25

The Sunbury/Big Wal­nut Area Cham­ber of Com­merce, in part­ner­ship with the East­ern Delaware County Repub­li­can Club and the Delaware County Demo­c­ra­tic Party, is pleased to spon­sor “Meet the Can­di­dates” night in Sun­bury. The pub­lic is invited and encour­aged to attend to learn about the can­di­dates for office and the issues that will be on the Novem­ber 6 ballot.

This event will be held Thurs­day, Octo­ber 25, 2012, begin­ning at 7:30 p.m. in the Big Wal­nut High School cafeteria.

The night will fol­low a for­mat whereby all can­di­dates in con­tested races as well as speak­ers for or against issues will be given three min­utes (closely timed) to tell about them­selves, their goals and objec­tives. Can­di­dates in uncon­tested races will be intro­duced, and hope­fully, will be avail­able for one-on-one dis­cus­sions after the for­mal meeting.

Lit­er­a­ture will be avail­able pro­vid­ing infor­ma­tion about the can­di­dates and issues. Light refresh­ments will be served fol­low­ing the speak­ers. The pub­lic is invited and encour­aged to attend.

In addi­tion, the Cham­ber will host a Mem­ber­ship & Can­di­dates’ Break­fast on Fri­day, Octo­ber 26, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. at North­star Golf Club in Sun­bury for mem­bers and guests. The forum for this event will dupli­cate that of Can­di­dates’ Night, how­ever, reser­va­tions are required for the break­fast event.
