The Big Walnut High School Drama Department opens its 2012–13 school year schedule tonight with a traditional seasonal presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, a timeless classic with holiday message that never gets old.
Audience members will join the Drama Department’s cast and crew as they follow the journey of a selfish man’s awakening, viewing his life through the ghosts of his past, present and future during the course of an evening.
The overnight life-altering experience transforms a self-absorbed, greedy businessman, played by Ian George, and helps him find the true meaning of life and the Christmas spirit.
The production, directed by Big Walnut High School Drama coach Erin Gibbons, is largely student driven, with costumes by Erin Wampler, Zoe Heller, Andrea Ronk and Esther Ensminger, and music direction by Christina Schirtzinger.
A Christmas Carol will be presented at 7:30 p.m. tonight (November 29), tomorrow evening (Friday, November 30), and Saturday (December 1) in the Big Walnut High School Auditorium.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
