Howard Wal­ter Siegesmund

Howard Wal­ter Sieges­mund, 79, Cro­ton, passed away peace­fully on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12, 2012. The fam­ily will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral ser­vice to fol­low at 11 a.m. on Fri­day, Novem­ber 16, 2012, at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, John­stown, with Pas­tor Bob Riggs officiating.

Howard was born on April 14, 1933, in Mil­wau­kee, Wis­con­sin to the late Wal­ter and Irma (Woehlke) Sieges­mund. He was a 1951 grad­u­ate of Hart­ford High School, where he played foot­ball. He lived on his fam­ily farm in Cro­ton. He worked at Ohio State Uni­ver­sity and retired from PPG in Delaware. Howard is a vet­eran of the United States Army.

Howard is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 52 years, Ber­nice (Buck­ing­ham) Sieges­mund; his three sons Arthur (Becki) Sieges­mund of Pow­ell, Stephen (Deb­bie) Sieges­mund of Spring­field and David (Lisa) Sieges­mund of New Albany; six grand­chil­dren, two great-grandchildren, sis­ter Jane (William) Sawvel along with nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends.
