Members of Big Walnut High School’s Student Council announced that the student body recently completed its annual holiday season Change Chase. Student council members will use the money raised to benefit families in the community that are struggling with the current economic conditions.
“The overall winner of this year’s Change Chase is the Senior Class with a positive total of $179.04,” said student council member Nicole Meyer. “The Juniors came in second at a positive total of $80.21, Sophomores placed third with a positive total of $48.17, and the Freshmen came in fourth with a positive total of $35.75.”
Meyer said in total, Big Walnut High School students came together to raise $993.41.
“We look forward to using the money to help those in need this winter,” Meyer said. “As members of student council, and as a student body, we know that all children expect a present under the tree on Christmas morning.”
