Myers, Simon named to AP All-Ohio football squads

Big Walnut’s Seth Myers and Julian Simon have been named to the 2012 Associated Press Division II All-Ohio High School Special Mention Football Team on the recommendations of a state media panel.
Myers, 6–4, 210-pound senior wide receiver/defensive back, caught 24 passes for a team-leading 273 yards. He averaged 11.4 yards per catch and 27.3 yards per game. He had 2 touchdown receptions.
Earlier. Myers was selected to First Team berths on the All-Ohio Capital Conference Division team as well as the Division II All-Central District team (defensive back).
Simon, the Golden Eagles’ 6-foot-3, 270-pound senior offensive/defensive lineman, totaled 21 solo tackles, 62 assisted tackle and 7 tackles for a loss,
Simon was earlier named to a First Team berth on the All-Central District Team (offensive lineman) and to a Second Team berth on the All-OCC Capital Division team.
