Myers, Simon named to AP All-Ohio football squads

Big Walnut’s Seth Myers and Julian Simon have been named to the 2012 Asso­ci­ated Press Divi­sion II All-Ohio High School Spe­cial Men­tion Foot­ball Team on the rec­om­men­da­tions of a state media panel.

Myers, 6–4, 210-pound senior wide receiver/defensive back, caught 24 passes for a team-leading 273 yards. He aver­aged 11.4 yards per catch and 27.3 yards per game. He had 2 touch­down receptions.

Ear­lier. Myers was selected to First Team berths on the All-Ohio Cap­i­tal Con­fer­ence Divi­sion team as well as the Divi­sion II All-Central Dis­trict team (defen­sive back).

Simon, the Golden Eagles’ 6-foot-3, 270-pound senior offensive/defensive line­man, totaled 21 solo tack­les, 62 assisted tackle and 7 tack­les for a loss,

Simon was ear­lier named to a First Team berth on the All-Central Dis­trict Team (offen­sive line­man) and to a Sec­ond Team berth on the All-OCC Cap­i­tal Divi­sion team.
