BW splits OCC wrestling matches with Hayes, New Albany

Host Big Walnut split last Thursday’s (January 10) Ohio Capital Conference Capital Division wrestling triangular with New Albany and Delaware Hayes which was held in Sunbury.
Luke Moore’s Golden Eagles, winning 10 of the 14 weight classes, including four by forfeits, handed the visiting Eagles a 59–15 setback. The Pacers claimed 10 weight classes, three by forfeits, in scoring a 58–20 verdict over Big Walnut.
Against New Albany, Big Walnut recorded five wins by falls. Junior R.J. Martin scored a 16–0 technical fall at 138 pounds; sophomore Tyler Satterfield a fall in 1 minute, 35 seconds at 145; senior C.J. Harness in 5:36 at 160; junior Alec Eisnnicher in 1:51 at 170; and junior Jhordan Lang in 3:22 at 182 pounds.
Sophomore Donny Didion contributed a 4–2 decision at 113 pounds while freshman Wes Landrum, freshman Tyler Hogg and junior Austin Crow were awarded forfeits at their respective 132-, 195– and 220-pound weight classes. Junior Austin Carr won by a medical forfeit at 152 pounds.
In the match with Hayes, Big Walnut captured four weight classes. Martin was awarded a technical fall by an 18–2 score at 138 pounds, Carr a fall in 5:16 at 152, Eisnnicher a 3–2 decision at 182, and Crow by a fall in 1:55 at 220 pounds.
