Movies for Grownups
Welcome to Movies for Grownups. Each month Community Library offers a free showing of a movie that is of particular interest to grownups. It may be a comedy, a drama or a romance. It may be a British production, an independent fim production or a blockbuster. It may be a recent release or an oldie-but-goodie.
The January movie is a story of how a culinary legend provides a frustrated office worker with a new recipe for life. This movie is based on the true stories of how a cooking legend’s (played by Meryl Streep) life and cookbook inspired a fledgling writer (played by Amy Adams) to whip up 524 recipes in 365 days and introduce a new generation to the magic of French cooking. Come enjoy director Nora Ephron’s delicious comedy about joy, obsession and butter. Bon appétit!
The movie is today (Thursday, January 10) in the meeting room and starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is FREE, but please RSVP so that we have a seat for you. Dress in layers, you may bring your own snacks if you wish, and knitters are welcome.
To register or if you have any questions you may call Community Library at 740–965-3901 or e-mail Mary at < nicema@oplin.org >.
