Bernardo recognized by Genoa Trustees

Giammarco’s is one of the finer restau­rants in Cen­tral Ohio, and a des­ti­na­tion place to dine in the upper West­er­ville, Genoa Town­ship area. As an area busi­ness­man, Giammarco’s owner Tom Bernardo received the West­er­ville Area Cham­ber of Commerce’s Busi­ness of the Year award in 2012.

Bernardo and his fam­ily attended last Thurs­day (March 7) evening’s Genoa Town­ship Board of Trustees meet­ing where Bernardo was rec­og­nized not only for receiv­ing the West­er­ville Cham­ber of Com­merce award, but also for oper­at­ing a Genoa Town­ship anchor business.

Giammarco’s has been a Genoa Town­ship busi­ness for many years, but with a host of com­mu­nity sup­port suc­cess­fully relo­cated to its cur­rent 6030 Chandler’s Court loca­tion two years ago.

“Giammarco’s is more than just a place to eat, it’s a place for fam­i­lies and friends to con­gre­gate and build a life­time of spe­cial mem­o­ries,” said trustee Rick Carfagna. “I’m grate­ful to Tom and his fam­ily for their vision and effort in cre­at­ing such a qual­ity estab­lish­ment in our community.” 


Trustee Karl Geb­hardt said he and the other trustees thank Bernardo for his invest­ment in Genoa Town­ship, and oper­at­ing a busi­ness that’s becom­ing an impor­tant town­ship landmark.

“Your busi­ness has really helped iden­tify Genoa Town­ship,” Geb­hardt said.
