Jet’s Pizza opens in Sunbury Mills Plaza

Big Walnut area folks who enjoy Jet’s Pizza are familiar with the Westerville store in a Giant Eagle Plaza out-lot on North State Street. That’s where many of them stop on the way home from work to pick up their favorite Jet’s pizza, sub or salad.
But driving out of the way or stopping in Westerville and arriving home with a cold pizza is a thing of the past, because on Friday, February 22, Jet’s Pizza opened its 11th central Ohio store in Sunbury Mills Plaza.
The Sunbury Jet’s Pizza General managers are Brandon Guaresimo and Kaitlyn Herman, a.k.a. Kait, and the store employs 14 to 15 area residents, many of them Big Walnut students.
During a stop at the new Sunbury Mills Plaza Jet’s Pizza on opening day Herman said all Columbus area Jet’s Pizza stores are franchised by the same initial owners, and the management is set into teams to run each store and train for future stores to open.
“Both Brandon and I are ecstatic about being placed at this store,” Herman said. “A close-knit community like Sunbury and the Big Walnut area always provides an amazing opportunity for our food and services to shine.”
Herman said all of the Jet’s store hours are 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 12 midnight Friday and Saturday.
“We do deliver and there is a delivery fee of $2.50 for every delivery order,” Herman said. “Our quoted delivery time is 35 to 45 minutes and orders are ready for pick up 15 to 20 minutes after they are called in.”
Herman said most Jet’s Pizza locations have a 5-mile delivery radius, and the Sunbury store will begin with that delivery zone. The western edge of the delivery area will be I-71, the eastern edge will be Route 605, deliveries will be made as far as Big Walnut Road to the south, and as far north as Rosecrans Road.
“Because we are surrounded by 55 mph roads Brandon and I hope to adjust the delivery zone as we get a better idea of the area that’s feasible to service,” Herman said.
Herman said the Lewis Center Jet’s Pizza location is the only Jet’s as of right now that has dine in service, and that store is close enough to the Sunbury community to be accessible for a family trip out for pizza.
Herman also noted that all Jet’s Pizza stores have a tradition of partnering with schools and servicing school lunches; and the Columbus area Jet’s is a corporate test market for a new wheat flour to give students healthier lunches.
”As Jet’s Pizza Managers, both Brandon and myself are dedicated to creating an exceptional product and delivering it with excellent customer service,” Herman said. “We ask nothing more than to be given the opportunity to provide just that for the residents of Sunbury and the greater Big Walnut community.”
Jet’s Pizza serves build your own and specialty pizzas, boneless chicken wings, breads and dipping sauces, salads, subs, and more.
