LEGAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Village of Galena, 109 Harrison Street, P.O. Box 386, Galena, Ohio 43021, by Jeanna Burrell, Village Administrator until Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Noon for CURBSIDE COLLECTION, RECYCLING, AND DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE for the Village of Galena, County of Delaware, State of Ohio, in accordance with the specifications and requirements now on file in the Galena Village Hall, 109 Harrison Street, Galena, Ohio and at http://www.galenaohio.org/link.html#trash.No bid will be considered unless accompanied by the following: 1. Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Money order, or Bid Bond (payable to the Village of Galena Ohio, drawn on a solvent bank, in the amount of $10,000.00; 2. Performance and payment bond will be furnished satisfactory to the Village of Galena upon awarding of the contract in the amount of $67,500.00 for the first year and thereafter equal to one and one-half times the projected gross value of the contract for each of the following years of the contract; 3. Proof of general and liability insurance as required in the specifications; 4. A sworn statement that the bidder has no personal property tax delinquency; 5. A signed non-collusion affidavit; 6. Proof of compliance with the State of Ohio Workers’ Compensation Program; 7. Proof of financial stability per the contract documents; 8. At least three positive references demonstrating competency and quality curbside recycling and trash service; The Village is seeking the best responsible and responsive bid. Each bidder must comply with applicable laws protecting employees and applicants for employment from discrimination because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. A pre-bid conference will be held Monday, October 20 at 2:00 P.M to answer any potential bidder questions. Proposals must be submitted in strict accordance with the specifications, standards, and requirements on forms available at the Galena Village Hall, 109 Harrison Street, Galena, Ohio or at http://www.galenaohio.org/link.html#trash. The proposal must be submitted in two separately sealed envelopes labeled "STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE" and "BID QUOTATION". Both envelopes will then be placed into a third envelope labeled "CURBSIDE COLLECTION, RECYCLING, AND DISPSOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE ".
