Lions Tree Sale Starts Saturday:

Proceeds benefit Friends Who Share

Tomorrow is Black Friday, Sunbury’s Christmas on the Square is a heartbeat away and Christmas is peeking around the corner. That means it’s time to start thinking about buying this year’s Christmas tree at the Sunbury Lions Club Tree Sale on the north side of Sunbury Village Square, where tree shoppers can select from 300 trees, including Canaan Fir and White Pine, all reasonably priced in sizes ranging from 6 feet to 9 feet.

As the holiday season approaches, it’s important to buy local where your dollars go for a worthy cause, helping friends and neighbors during these uncertain times; and, as always, profits from the Sunbury Lions Christmas Tree Sale go to Big Walnut Friends Who Share.

The Lions will start selling Christmas trees this coming Saturday, November 30, at 8 a.m., so stop at the Lions shelter on the square for a chat with a friendly Lion and select a tree.

Sunbury Lions will be on site to help you select and load your Christmas tree Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. until all trees are sold or Christmas Eve.

Can’t get there when the Lions are open for business? No problemo, as Arnie would say. All trees are tagged. Select a tree, pay at Molly’s Flowers, Evans Nationwide Insurance, or Whitney Insurance and take your tree home.

And remember, it’s a Big Walnut tradition: Buy local, and spend your money where it counts, at the Sunbury Lions Club Christmas Tree Sale.
