Thanksgiving is over, Black Friday is history, Cyber Monday has evaporated and Sunbury’s Christmas on The Square is this Saturday. That means Christmas is peeking around the corner, and it’s time to start thinking about buying this year’s Christmas tree at the Sunbury Lions Club Tree Sale on the northeast side of Sunbury Village Square.
For those who plan to attend Christmas on the Square, what better time to purchase a tree, making the selection a family decision. Shoppers will have the opportunity to select from 300 trees, including Canaan Fir and White Pine, all reasonably priced in sizes ranging from 6 feet to 9 feet.
As the holiday season approaches, it’s also important to buy local where your dollars go for a worthy cause, helping friends and neighbors during these uncertain times; and, as always, profits from the Sunbury Lions Christmas Tree Sale go to Big Walnut Friends Who Share.
Sunbury Lions will be on site to help you select and load your Christmas tree Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. until all trees are sold or Christmas Eve.
Can’t get there when the Lions are open for business? No problem. All trees are tagged. Select a tree, pay at Molly’s Flowers, Evans Nationwide Insurance, or Whitney Insurance and take your tree home.
And remember, it’s a Big Walnut tradition: Buy local, and spend your money where it counts, at the Sunbury Lions Club Christmas Tree Sale.
