As the New Year begins, political subdivisions statewide will hold reorganizational meetings as their first meeting of the year. During those sessions rules of operation are formally adopted, meeting dates, times and locations are set, committees and committee chairs are appointed, and a host of other statutory items are attended to.
During their Thursday, December 5, meeting, members of the Genoa Township Board of Trustees announced that they would hold their 2014 Reorganizational Meeting and first regular trustee meeting of the year at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, at the Genoa Township Hall, 5111 South Old 3C Highway, Westerville.
State Representative Margaret Ann Ruhl will hold Genoa Office Hours on the second Monday of every month. Ruhl will be at the Genoa Township Hall from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, January 13.
The trustees also reminded everyone that Genoa Township children are encouraged to carry a child ID for their safety.
The Genoa Township Police Department offers free IDs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month once a month. The next scheduled opportunity is Wednesday, January 8, in the Genoa Township Administration Office, 5111 South Old 3C Highway, Westerville.
Snow Reminder: In the event of a heavy snow, the Genoa Township Streets and Maintenance Department asks residents to not park vehicles on township streets during snow events to allow for proper snow removal.
The Genoa Township Administrative Offices are located at the Genoa Township Hall, 5111 South Old 3C Highway, Westerville. They are regularly open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
