If you are the parent of a future Big Walnut cheerleader, it’s time to start thinking about the Big Walnut Winter Junior Cheer Camp instructed by BWHS Varsity and Competition Cheerleaders under the direction of varsity cheerleading Coach Sarah Kern Kildow.
The 18th Annual Big Walnut Cheerleading Jr. Cheer Camp children from pre-Kindergarten age through sixth grade will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, February 9, in the Big Walnut High School Auxiliary Gymnasium.
During the camp girls will learn a motion technique, sidelines, jumps and proper technique, and a cheer, plus a dance routine that will be performed at the February 15 Big Walnut High School/Licking Heights varsity basketball game.
Camp participants should wear comfortable tennis shoes, T-shirts and shorts, have their hair up in a ponytail, and bring a water bottle.
The $30 camp fee includes a T-shirt and hair bow.
All camp proceeds are used to help to offset the costs of the high school’s competition cheer squad activities.
Registration forms are available wherever Big Walnut Cheerleaders can be found. Pre-registration forms may be mailed in, or walk-ins on camp day are welcome.
