SUMC Community Easter Celebration Egg Hunt, scheduled for Saturday, April 12

March 19, 2014

The Sunbury United Methodist Church (SUMC) will host its 10th annual Community Easter Celebration on Saturday, April 12, 2014. This event is FREE and open to the entire community. Please enter the church through the upper main entrance to attend this event.

Activities begin at 10 a.m. in the church’s multi-purpose room, including “hare” raisin’ games, prizes, crafts, refreshments and a complimentary picture with the Easter Bunny. Bunny helpers will also be hopping around during the festivities with baskets full of free treats for the kids.

At 11 a.m., the Easter Bunny will take a short break for a much-needed sip of her favorite carrot juice while the kids go outside for the Easter Egg Hunt. Children one year old through fifth grade should register for the Easter Egg Hunt by 10:55 a.m. Each age group will have its own area to hunt eggs. There will be plenty of Easter eggs for everyone! Children will receive a free goody bag for prizes but should bring an Easter basket to put their eggs in. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place outside rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.

Following the Easter Egg Hunt, you are invited to return inside for more games, and the Easter Bunny will return for more photos. All activities will end at 12 noon.
