Allen County sheriff investigates shooting

LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office investigated a shooting at 2 a.m. in the 200 block of North Roberts Street.

Sheriff Sam Crish said that 12 to 15 shots were fired at the residence according to witnesses. He said when deputies arrived to the residence there were several bullet holes in the house.

One person at the residence suffered several gunshot wounds and was taken to an unnamed hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Crish added that among the several people who were in the home were four very young children.

Crish said no suspect has been identified. He said the incident remained under investigation as the office speaks with several witnesses.
