How could any common item in the age of computers and printouts cause me to beware? I was unsuspecting as I stood before my printer collating the papers for the paper clip. Normally, I might have sat down with the papers on the table before me, but I was in a hurry. It would probably have been the paper clip I put in my mouth to give me more use of my two hands.

The foul ball left the bat with a determined route eluding a tall net and posts of various needs, and flew beyond the ballpark with a beeline to my parked car driver’s side windshield. The windshield imploded into a million kernels and flecks of glass into every nook and cranny of the interior. I had just left it at 6 o’clock; when I needed to drive the car at 7 o’clock — it was now “a mission impossible”.
Every time a school board votes on what to eliminate after a levy fails, I have to say, “What were they thinking?” The first to go is Art, Music, Field Trips, Physical Education, (Home economics already bit the dust) and MAYBE extracurricular sports! Is it payback to voters or the best for the students?

Three quarters of a century turns out a variety of changes in one’s life. “Change happens” or we can leave it to the young to perfect. Growing up, we had horses, but that wasn’t the mode of transportation for our family. My father had a large truck to haul fruits and vegetables to the stores and restaurants between Cleveland and Madison, Ohio.
