
For the eighth time in 12 years, the Golden Eagles are back in the OHSAA football playoffs. Fourth-seeded Big Walnut (8–2) will host fifth-seeded Columbus Beechcroft (9–1) in a Region 9 quarterfinal game Friday night at 7:30 at Golden Eagle Stadium.

It turned out to be quite a week for the Delaware County Junior Fair Horse Show. The wet, muddy conditions due to the constant rain postponed and cancelled most horse show events throughout the fair week, although trail, reigning, pattern and versatility classes were able to squeeze in class competitions Tuesday and Thursday in the practice ring, north of the main ring on the fairgrounds.

You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone, huh? The cliché certainly applies in some cases, maybe even most, but it’s not applicable to those involved with Liberty track and field in relation to the Uhle brothers.After watching seniors Joey and Chris Uhle earn top-three finishes at the Division I OHSAA Track and Field Championships Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, second and third, respectively, Patriot coach Ryan Snivley knew exactly what he had.

Big Walnut made the most noise during Thursday and Saturday’s OCC-Capital Division Championships in Hilliard, with the girls finishing second overall and the boys closing with a third-place effort.
