Central Ohio Symphony concludes Its 38th Season

The Central Ohio Symphony is preparing to conclude its 38th Season with Jaime Morales-Matos on the podium for his 14th year on as Conductor of the ensemble.

“Season 38 will offer concertgoers new musical experiences at every concert,” said Executive Director Warren W. Hyer. “Our finale concert in April will be “Hear Ohio” presented by PNC Arts Alive. Everything we play that night will either be composed by Ohio composers or be performed by Ohio Guest Artists, ranging from Ohio composer Clint Needham’s We Are All From Somewhere Else, which uses the words of people from all over the world who have made Ohio their home to Ohio composer Paul John Stanbery’s Music for Mass, which will take guest choirs from Ohio Wesleyan, handbells, organ, baritone voice, and audience participation!”

The remaining 38th season concert programs are as follows:

• Saturday, April 29, 2017, 7:30 p.m.: “Hear Ohio” presented by PNC Arts Alive. Clint Needham’s We Are All From Somewhere Else; Bloch’s Schlomo for Cello and Orchestra with Michael Carrera, soloist; and Paul John Stanbery’s Music for Mass.

The concert takes place in Gray Chapel auditorium on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus in Delaware.

Tickets may be purchased online, by telephone, or just by walking in the door of the Symphony Source, 24 E. Winter Street in downtown Delaware.
