  • The Harlem Township Garden Club will hold it’s annual “Guest Night” Dinner and Program at the Sunbury U. M. Church, 100 W. Cherry St. on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. It will be held in the Parlor on the street level of the church. Molly of “Molly’s Flowers” will create arrangements, The Silver Towel Award will be presented and Dinner will be served. Local gardeners are invited to attend.   • The Delaware County Garden Clubs will meet for their bi-annual potluck and program on Saturday, April 1 at the Harlem Township Grange Building, 12990 Center Village Road, Galena, at 9 a.m. All Delaware Co. gardeners are invited to attend. The speaker, Karen Martens, will present “Going Dutch: A Gardener’s Joy.” A potluck brunch item and $1 are the the admission fee.   • Harlem Township Civic Association in cooperation with the Harlem Twp. Maintenance Dept. and the Delaware General Health District is sponsoring a Roadside Clean Up Campaign on Saturday, April 22. Interested volunteers can pick up trash bags, road assignments, gloves, grabbers and safety vests from 9-10 a.m. at the Harlem Grange Hall, 12990 Center Village Rd. Volunteers are encouraged to return to the Grange between 11 and noon for a free lunch, bragging rights on the most unusual finds, and return of safety vests, grabbers, etc. For your convenience you may call Valerie Pedersen, 740-965-3670 to secure a road assignment and bags ahead of time. Trash filled bags will be picked up along assigned roads on Monday, April 24 by the Twp. Maintenance crew. If you are not able to pick up trash on Saturday you can still participate on Sunday.
