Autism support groups forming

The Learning Spectrum in Sunbury says it will soon be offering support groups to the parents and siblings of children with autism.

The support groups are open to all Learning Spectrum families, and anyone in the local community who is interested in participating.

The parent support group will allow parents to voice their feelings, concerns and frustrations in a supportive environment, with others who are going through a similar situation.

Marty Harrison, Learning Spectrum’s licensed social worker, will serve as the support group facilitator.

The Learning Spectrum provides individualized care to children with autism, both in and out of the school setting.

Quinones works on theater crew

Adrianna Quinones of Sunbury recently participated in the University of Findlay (Ohio) theater performance of “Abigail/1702.”

Quinones served as a member of the run crew.

Teale completes basic training

U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Jacob S. Teale graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Teale is the son of Scott Teale of Sunbury and Lynne Teale of Centerburg, and brother of Joey Teale of Columbus. He is also the brother of Josh Teale.

He graduated in 2012 from Centerburg High School.

Brownfield in fall recital

Catherine Brownfield, of Sunbury, recently performed in a fall voice recital at The University of Findlay (Ohio).

Brownfield performed “Per la gloria d’adorarvi” by Giovanni Battista Bononcini.
