Cindy Hall, the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce Director since 2010, submitted her resignation last week.
Hall worked for the chamber as an administrator since 2002.
Chamber president Marc Hogenbirk said Hall’s 12 years of dedication and hard work had been much appreciated and that she was on board through critical years as the chamber grew from a small club of local business leaders to a fully functioning and vital chamber of commerce serving the greater Big Walnut business community.
“We wish Cindy much success with her future endeavors,” Hogenbirk said. “Deb Jackson is now serving as the interim Executive Director. We are all working together to make this transition as seamless as possible.”
Hall could not be reached for comment.
Hogenbirk said its business as usual for the Big Walnut chamber as they prepare to move into their new location at 39 East Granville Street on historic Sunbury Village Square. The building’s interior is receiving fresh paint; the chamber plans to complete the move by Aug. 1.
“Exciting opportunities lie ahead for the chamber,” Hogenbirk said. “We look forward to the growth and changes in our future.”
