General Rosecrans Elementary School First Grade students packed the house last Thursday (February 20) afternoon when they presented a special musical performance under the direction of GRE Music Teacher Heidi Bridge.
Students in Danielle LaSota’s class performed B-I-N-G-O, Barbara Dean’s first graders performed Five Little Sausages, Kori Rigo’s students performed Up and Down, and Ms. Rigo’s class, and the first graders in Kari Thomas’ class performed Star Light, Star Bright.
Jack Ehmke portrayed Bingo, Samuel Gaimey played the Farmer, and the productions instrumentalists were from all of GRE’s first grade classes.
Sam Stewart, Ella Strohm, Brody Harvey, Katie Jones and Nicholas Weiss portrayed the Five Little Sausages.
The production’s narrators were Aryan Vyas, Seth Jacobs, Riley Norling, Sydney Ulrey, Takoma Coons, Megan Tice, Sam Stewart, Alyssa Moyer, Grant Hofer, Seth Nielsen, Anna Jacobus, Cooper SanFillipo, Nick Patton, Spencer Lowe, Judah Stewart, Allyson Anderson, Josh Rentz, Carson Stanford, Evan Duffey and Novey Montgomery.
Bridge said the performance, also called an informance, was produced to allow the first grade students to present some of the songs that they have learned to identify music elements.
