Big Walnut, led by the scoring of Carter Marsch, Jhordan Lang and Joey Schooley, posted an 8-5 Ohio Capital Conference Central Division victory over the visiting Wildcats of Westerville South on Monday, April 21, in Sunbury.
Derek Herman led the Golden Eagle defense, turning away 10 saves in the Big Walnut goal.

Scoring for South were Tyler Kililea, Austin See-Cook and Isaac Bumgarner.

BUCKEYE VALLEY 7, BIG WALNUT 6 — The Barons, led by the 3-goal hat tricks of Nate Cox and Drew Stavik, edged the Golden Eagles in a non-conference boys lacrosse match Saturday in Sunbury.

Jhordan Lang and Sam Funston tallied two goals apiece for Big Walnut. Alex Alley and Joey Schooley also scored for the Golden Eagles. Carter Marsch was credited with an assist.

Sam Scharff accounted for BV’s other goal.

Derek Herman made 10 saves in the Big Walnut goal.

PICKERINGTON CENTRAL 10, BIG WALNUT 0 — The Tigers dominated this match OCC Central Division matchup played Wednesday, April 23, in Pickerington.

Central was led by the 5-goal performance of Morris. Powell, McGougan, Lawrence, Slovina, Bowers and Roessler also tallied goals for the Tigers. McGougan was credited with 2 saves.

Derek Herman made 20 stops in the Golden Eagle goal. Alec Schnabel chipped in with 2 saves.

WESTERVILLE NORTH 22, BIG WALNUT 2 — The host Warriors dominated the Golden Eagles on Friday, April 18, at Westerville.

Big Walnut netminder Alec Schnabel made 18 saves against North’s high-powered attack.
