The Big Walnut High School boys basketball coaching staff and players will offer a Basketball Skills Camp for boys entering grades 3-8 for the 2014-2015 School Year.
The camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Individual skills and team concepts will be taught. Your son will learn the skills necessary to become a good offensive player, including shooting, ball-handling and passing. He will also learn the correct way to play individual and team defense. Rebounding fundamentals will be taught as well. In order to assure equal competition, campers will be grouped according to age and ability.
The camp will include the following:
- Roll Call/Warm-Up/Ball handling
- Offensive Fundamentals/Stations
- Defensive Fundamentals/Stations
- Shooting Competitions
- 3 on 3 Skill Development
- Team Offense/Team Defense
Camp times are 9 to 11 a.m. for third, fourth, fifth graders and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
The camp fee is $80 which includes a T-Shirt and basketball.

Coach Myers is in his fourth year at Big Walnut High School as the Boys Varsity Coach. He has over 20 years of basketball coaching experience. Our camp will focus on teaching your son fundamental skills and knowledge of the game. Your son will have fun while learning the game of basketball.
We, the undersigned, understand that this camp is not a school activity. In addition, we hereby state that we are aware that participation in all sports requires an acceptance of risk of possible injury. In giving our consent for our son to participate, we are aware that the risk of injury may be severe including risk of fractures, brain injuries, paralysis or other severe complications. Additionally, we agree not to hold the Big Walnut School District liable for any injury incurred by our son while in attendance at the camp. The camp sponsors do not provide medical or dental insurance for students injured in camp activities. We, the undersigned, do have insurance and accept full responsibility for any and all medical and/or dental expenses resulting from any injury which he may suffer while taking part in the camp.
